When the concept for this website was formed, I didn't want it to just be a static site, telling you how great I was; if you want to know how great I am, ask my mum.

Intrinsically New Zealand, always precise, sometimes frivolous and always flavoursome is how I like to describe my style of cooking. I don't like to be tied to one style or one culture. It's what makes so many kiwi chefs and cooks unique, our ability to adapt and not be tied to the constraint of our culture. For me food is the only thing that englightens all senses. Food elevates our mood. Food makes us better people. Food is more than energy, food is life.

Cooking for someone is one of the most sincere and intimate things you can do; to involve all your senses to satisfy all of someone else's. What could give more pleasure? It is the ultimate expression of devotion.

I want this site to be interactive, constantly changing, something that informs and hopefully entertains. Most importantly, something that will get you talking about food, cooking food, eating in restaurants (hopefully ours) and developing our country's burgeoning food culture.

So grab a glass of wine, have a look around and make yourself at home. Get comfortable with this site. Remember to check back often, as with anything that is organic we will be constantly growing.
